Teaching Oral English In Indonesian EFL Contexts During Globalized Challenging Time

Abstract. This paper addresses the limited studies on Oral English (OE) worldwide and absence of OE research publications from Indonesian contexts. study aims to fill this knowledge gap. 6-month project was undertaken in Department Education at one public universities Makassar, Indonesia. Out 100 students, 30 student participants 3 lecturers consented engage voluntarily project. The data questionnaires were analyzed via Ms. Excel's quantitative analysis thematically. indicates that students’ reflections strategies teaching OE: appropriate topic for presentation, logical sequence presented information, acknowledge source materials. has implication other similar geographical contexts settings can be useful teachers practitioners.Keywords: Perceptions, Students, Strategies, Teaching English, EFL
